Our baristas focus on craft and hospitality; our kitchen produces a mix of made-to-order food, baked goods, grab-and-go items, and specialty beverages, and our roaster supports both our cafés and a growing wholesale and online business.\n\nBehind the scenes, we put a lot of thought into how things work—from workflow and systems to training and teamwork—so that we can deliver a fast, high-quality experience without losing the human side of what we do. We’re a team that takes the work seriously, but not ourselves, and we’re always looking to improve how we operate while keeping the environment positive and supportive.\n\nRole DescriptionBrand Marketing & E-Commerce Manager (Part-Time or Full-time) Small World Coffee is looking for a creative, entrepreneurial marketer who loves building brands, launching products, and growing direct-to-consumer sales. We're looking for someone who can help shape the next chapter of one of New Jersey's most respected specialty coffee brands by connecting our cafés, roastery, and online business into one cohesive customer experience. Working closely with ownership and our leadership team, you'll develop new products, improve our online store, tell our story, and create marketing that drives both café visits and e-commerce growth. If you enjoy moving between strategy and execution—brainstorming a holiday gift collection one day, optimizing an online product page the next, then helping launch a seasonal coffee with beautiful packaging—you'll probably love this role. What You'll Do\n• Develop and execute an e-commerce strategy that grows direct-to-consumer sales.\n• Merchandise and continuously improve our Shopify website to maximize conversion and average order value.\n• Create compelling product pages, photography direction, copywriting, and merchandising for coffees, gifts, subscriptions, and merchandise.\n• Lead seasonal product launches from concept through execution.\n• Develop corporate gifting, holiday collections, wedding favors, and other specialty product programs.\n• Work with our roasting team on packaging, product positioning, and storytelling.\n• Coordinate with designers and vendors on packaging, labels, photography, and promotional materials.\n• Help create branded merchandise that customers genuinely want to own.\n• Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns including email, social media, paid advertising, and search.\n• Analyze website traffic, customer behavior, and campaign performance to continually improve results.\n• Help strengthen the Small World Coffee brand across every customer touchpoint—from cafés to online to wholesale.\n• Identify new opportunities to grow brand awareness, customer loyalty, and recurring revenue.\n\nWe're Looking For Someone Who:\n• Has experience growing an e-commerce business, preferably in food, beverage, specialty retail, or consumer packaged goods.\n• Understands branding as much as digital marketing.\n• Has strong Shopify (or similar platform) experience.\n• Knows how to merchandise products, improve conversion rates, and increase online sales.\n• Is comfortable with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo.\n• Has experience with product launches, packaging, or consumer products.\n• Can interpret analytics and make data-informed decisions.\n• Is both strategic and hands-on—you enjoy building the plan and executing it.\n• Appreciates thoughtful design, hospitality, and brands with authentic stories.\n• Has excellent writing skills and an eye for detail.\n• Enjoys a collaborative work environment.\n\nOther Information:\n\nThis is a new position in our company. This could be a part-time employee or a fractional marketing position. We are much more interested in finding the right person than in forcing a particular arrangement. Being relatively local to Princeton will benefit the role."
