CASE is a national curriculum designed to establish a structured sequence of agricultural, food, and natural resource science courses that are rigorous and relevant while including hands-on, student-centered lessons, projects, activities, and labs that prepare students with the skills they need for pursuing 21st century agriculture careers. CASE has been aligned to state and national English, Math, Science, Technology, and Career and Technical standards.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Valid teacher's license or be eligible under the licensure process • Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental studies, natural sciences, science education, elementary/secondary education, agricultural science, natural resources management related field • Experience teaching and/or working with children and/or adolescents • Evidence of exemplary human relation skills • Evidence of ability to work effectively with students, parents and staff

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Introduce and present through both lecture and demonstration in a clear and logical manner to convey important agricultural concepts • Integrate the latest research and utilize a variety of teaching/learning strategies, including the use of technology to promote student learning and assess learning outcomes • Provide instructional objectives to direct student learning • Outline major points of information and enhance presentations with multi-media and/or demonstrations • Create, maintain and encourage an effective student centered learning environment in the classroom and laboratory settings • Monitor student activity and encourage participation in the classroom and laboratory • Design and develop new exercises; monitor and evaluate student outcomes • Strive to maintain and improve
