# Control Panel Assembler
Control panel assemblers read schematic drawings to assemble control panel units for electrical equipment. They put together wiring, switches, control and measuring apparatus and cables with hand operated tools.
## Core workflow
1. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
2. Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
3. Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
4. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
5. Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
6. Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
7. Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
8. Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers.
