Use when the user asks for typical webmaster work such as: Back up or modify applications and related data to provide for disaster recovery.; Determine sources of Web page or server problems, and take action to correct such problems.; Review or update Web page content or links in a timely manner, using appropriate tools.

Webmaster

Webmasters deploy, maintain, monitor and support a web server to meet service requirements. They ensure optimum system integrity, security, backup and performance. They coordinate the content, quality and style of websites, execute the website strategy and update and add new features to websites.

Core workflow

  1. Back up or modify applications and related data to provide for disaster recovery.
  2. Determine sources of Web page or server problems, and take action to correct such problems.
  3. Review or update Web page content or links in a timely manner, using appropriate tools.
  4. Monitor systems for intrusions or denial of service attacks, and report security breaches to appropriate personnel.
  5. Implement Web site security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption.
  6. Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues.
  7. Test backup or recovery plans regularly and resolve any problems.
  8. Monitor Web developments through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
