# Database Administrator
|

Database administrators test, implement, and administer computer databases, utilizing their expertise in database management systems to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures that safeguard these databases. Additionally, they employ scripts and configuration files to customize databases according to user requirements.
|

## Core workflow
|

1. Develop standards and guidelines for the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.
|
|
2. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
|
|
3. Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
|
|
4. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
