# Warehouse Worker
|

Warehouse workers execute the accurate handling, packing and storage of materials in a warehouse. They receive goods, label them, check quality, store the goods and document any damage. Warehouse workers also monitor stock levels of items, keep inventory and ship goods.
|

## Core workflow
|

1. Complete order receipts.
|

2. Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.
|
|
3. Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
|
|
4. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
|
|
5. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
|

6. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
|
|
7. Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
|

8. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on computer.
